LOCTITE® 243 threadlocker is a versatile anaerobic adhesive designed to secure and seal nuts and screws to prevent loosening caused by shock or vibration. It is suitable for threaded fasteners up to M36 (36 mm) in diameter. Its medium strength allows easy disassembly using standard tools. This blue product is compatible with all types of metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces.
Features:
LOCTITE® 243 features advanced acrylic technology that cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Its thixotropic nature minimises product migration during application, ensuring even distribution. The product prevents fasteners from loosening in vibrating assemblies, such as pumps, gearboxes and presses. It tolerates contamination, including light oils, allowing use without prior cleaning. It is effective in environments ranging from -55 to 180°C.
